Key Findings:
CAM Antisemitism Research Center monitored 33 media reported antisemitic incidents between January and February of 2023, including 12 American synagogues that were targeted with either violence, vandalism, or hateful language and conduct.
CAM Antisemitism Research Center points out that threats to Jewish institutions and the safety of Jewish people in the United States should not be considered a Republican or Democratic cause, but should be considered a wholly American issue.
When comparing this period of time in 2022 to 2023, a 71.4% yearly increase in threats to synagogues in the US was found.
Synagogue related incidents throughout the US between January and February of 2023 included incidents in Florida, New Hampshire, California, North Carolina, Nevada, New Jersey, Missouri, New York, and Texas.
Other Jewish institutions that were targeted in the first two months of 2023 were college campuses and schools.
Similar incidents of antisemitism occurred in Canada, South America, and Europe.
Methodology:
Antisemitic attacks from January to February 2023 on Jewish institutions in the US and abroad are analyzed to illustrate the rapid rise of antisemitism.
