In its short lifetime, the State of Israel has become a force to be reckoned with– a modern day miracle, as the author illustrates. Jewish people returning to their ancestral homeland after thousands of years of exile is a miracle within and of itself. The success of the country as a young democracy, the flourishing of its tech and medical industries, and the efficiency of its military are achievements that contribute to the miracle of modern day Israel as well.
The author references biblical and historical texts and analyzes miraculous events in Jewish history, specifically the lessons those miracles left behind. By contextualizing the modern day miracle that is Israel within these previous miracles, the author urges the Jewish nation to look closely at what this success could be signaling, as other miracles have signaled important collective lessons in the past.
He comes to this conclusion: Though Israel as a sovereign state has ended the physical exile of Jewish people, the Jewish nation did not come so far just to survive.
Now that such a successful nation-state has been established in only 75 short years, the author urges the Jewish nation to shift their focus away from survival, and towards living as a unified people. Be it left or right, religious or non-religious groups– he is urging the people of Israel to unify for a more prosperous, fruitful future.
He concludes by praising the country’s multicultural vision where all groups are welcome and have come together to create a vibrant Israeli citizenry. Now “the real necessity is to ensure economic prosperity for all groups.” The author argues that this prosperity, coupled with the country’s growing unity, would be the biggest miracle of all.

Both Biblical and historical references are employed.
